Alice E. Kolwicz, 92, of Bethel, wife of the late Edwin Kolwicz, died on Tuesday, March 26th at Danbury Hospital with her family by her side. She was born July 3, 1920 in Danbury, daughter of the late Nelson and Ruth (Webb) Fancher. Alice volunteered for Meals on Wheels, Red Cross Blood Drives as well as Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen. She enjoyed walking, hiking and picking apples while staying at the cabin in Vermont, gardening and transplanting in the green houses at Hollandia Nursery, also loved having lunch with her friends. Alice loved swimming at the local YMCA, watching UCONN Basketball and Life. She was a very optimistic person that lived to make everyone’s day brighter. Alice will be missed deeply by her children, James Kolwicz of Columbus, OH, Richard Kolwicz and his wife Terri of Bethel and Ken Kolwicz of Brookfield; 6 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her sister and 4 brothers.
