Louis J. Pavlu, Jr., 102, formerly of Hawthorne Terrace in Danbury, beloved husband of the late Rosemary (Kiernan) Pavlu, died at The Gardens in Danbury on Saturday, March 23rd. He was born in New York, NY on January 20, 1911, son of the late Louis J. Sr., and Katherine (Krochkva) Pavlu. Mr. Pavlu worked as a patrolman for the New York City Transit Authority for more than 25 years. He was a longtime past parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church and was active with the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus. He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Mary-Lou Pakenas and her husband, Robert of Arizona; his sister, Mary Hornick of NJ; many nieces and nephews; and his dear friend, Katherine Sniffin. He was predeceased by his brothers, Edward and William Pavlu; and his sisters, Stephanie Stronczer and Catherine Gallagher.
