Frances Laura (Nero) Tomaino of Palm Coast, FL, formerly of Danbury, passed peacefully on July 12th at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, after a long illness, with her loving husband and caregiver, Arnold “Arnie”, by her side. She was born on September 25, 1938 in Danbury to the late Francesco and Vincenzina (Costanzo) Nero. She was a graduate of Danbury High School. Frannie later met the love of her life, Arnie, and the two lovingly raised their family. She was an Assistant School Teacher at St. Joseph’s School, a volunteer at Morris Street School, a member of the Amerigo Vespucci/Colonna Lodge. She retired from Boehringer Ingelheim. Frannie and Arnie made their home in Florida in 2001 where she made many, many friends. She loved to dance, shop, laugh and most of all she loved to work in her flower gardens. Along with her husband of 55 years, Arnie, she will be sadly missed by her daughter Renee Larkin and her husband, Brad; their children Kyle and Bryan; her son Arnie and his children Ceara, Brenna and Ella; sister, Josephine DeGrazia, brother, Nicholas Nero and his wife, Barbara, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Mary “Venny” Cranner.
