Stephanie K. Prince, 57, of Brookfield, died peacefully on Thursday, May 14th at The Regional Hospice Healthcare in Danbury. She was born on April 22, 1958 in Stamford, daughter of the late Stephen X. and Paula A. (Sweeney) Prince. She graduated from Brookfield High School and also attended Western Connecticut State University. Stephanie was a devoted mother to her son. He was her greatest joy. Together they shared a love for animals and rescued many cats from shelters along with a menagerie of hamsters, turtles and guinea pigs. Stephanie was also a rescuer of people, she looked for the best in others, cheered them on and was always sincere, loving and kind. She was sweetness personified. Charismatic and creative, Stephanie was artistic in many ways. She handmade intricate beaded jewelry and was in demand for her keen eye for fashion. She had a flair and passion for putting together beautiful clothing designs and was admired for her make-up artistry. Stephanie and her partner Doug first met in 1987 and were in a long term relationship since 1989. Through their 25 years together, they shared the same sense of humor and their mutual love of movies and music. She was a loving sister and will always be fondly remembered as “Stevie”. She will be sadly missed by her son Maximillan Prince; her two sisters Paula White with her husband John of Maine, Michele Prince with her partner Mark Peterson of Brookfield and her loving life partner Doug Cowles of Danbury. She is survived by 4 nephews, 5 nieces, one great niece, one great nephew and many devoted friends.
