Pietro Sproviero, 78, of Bethel, beloved husband of Maria (Verre) Sproviero, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at his second home in Panama City Beach, FL. He was born on August 9, 1936 in Calabria, Italy, son of the late Michael and Rosina Sproviero. Pietro, better known as âPete the Barberâ was the proud owner of Peteâs North End Barber Shop located in North Street Shopping Center in Danbury where he was a barber for 43 years. Pietro graciously worked alongside his son Michael for the better part of two decades. He was a man that had a love for great food and took pride in making homemade soppresatta and homemade wine. He was an avid soccer fan and enjoyed the opportunity to watch a great game. Pietro lived his life with immense love for his family, humbly and proudly celebrating all of their accomplishments and very much enjoyed family dinners with his children and grandchildren. The family finds comfort in knowing that Pietro will be remembered by his dear friends as âthe epitome of a perfect manâ. Along with his cherished wife of 54 years, Maria, he will be sadly missed by his children, Michael Sproviero and his wife Denise of Roxbury, Salvatore Sproviero and his wife Lynda of Bethel, Rosa Corbo and her husband Silvio of Bethel, Antoinetta Metaxas and her husband Nicholas of Bethel. He is also survived by 9 treasured grandchildren.
