David A. Schmeltz, age 75 of Danbury died on Tuesday December 2nd at Glen Hill/Genesis Health Care, Danbury. He was the husband of Carolyn M. (Schulz) Schmeltz. David was born May 6, 1939 in Danbury, and was predeceased by his parents, the late Fred and Myrtle (Rahmsdorff) Schmeltz, and his sister Sandra Moy. A lifelong resident, he had served in the National Guard for 7 years, and was employed as a tool and die maker with the Capitol Machine Co for 35 years until the time of his retirement. He also was employed as a bus driver with Housatonic Area Regional Transit. In addition to his wife Carolyn, David is survived by his son, Robert A. Schmeltz of FL and his daughter Deborah J. Schmeltz of Danbury.
