Robert Arena, 61, of Brewster, beloved husband of Sorojinie âMeenaâ (Umadat) Arena, died at Danbury Hospital on Wednesday, August 27th, after a brief illness. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 24, 1953, son of the late Robert and Josephine (Cambria) Arena. Bob worked as a Senior Court Clerk for the New York State Judicial System. Prior to his position as a Senior Court Clerk he was a Court Officer and EMT. He was a member of the New York State Supreme Court Officers Association and the 9th JD Court Employee Association. An accomplished drummer, he was a past member of the New York State Court Pipe and Drum Band. Years ago he enjoyed working and spending time at Jimmyâs Music World in New York City. Most importantly, Bob was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He will be remembered for his gentle humor. He had a smile that could light up the room and when he laughed, everyone laughed with him. In addition to his wife of 28 years, Meena, he will be sadly missed by his two cherished sons, Robert and Nicholas Arena; and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
