Mrs. Carolyn C. (Schober) Cunningham, 93, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at her home. She was the wife of Frederick Cunningham, to whom she was married for 70 years.
Carolyn was born on January 21, 1920 in Englewood, NJ, daughter of the late George Valentine and Matilda (Lappe) Schober. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for the Bunn Tying Company. Carolyn was a charter member of The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in New Fairfield. She loved children and was a teacher of Sunday school for many years at the church. Carolyn also was an avid reader. She was a member of the Friends of New Fairfield Library and served the group as a temporary treasurer for 27 years.
Besides her husband of 70 years, Frederick, she leaves behind a son, Michael and his wife Jo-Anna Cunningham of Danbury; a daughter, Kathleen and her husband Gary Lindquist of New Fairfield; two grandchildren, Kevin Lindquist of Sherman and Kelly Lindquist of New Fairfield; four great-grandchildren, Hannah Wilson of New Fairfield, Mikayla Lindquist, Jenna Lindquist and Katelyn Lindquist, all of Sherman; and several nieces and nephews.
