Anita Pane – July 18, 1923 – November 16, 2013

Anita (Tomaino) Pane, 90, of Danbury, wife of the late Francis C. Pane, Sr, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 16th. She was born in Danbury on July 18, 1923, daughter of the late Bruno and Palma (Rizzo) Tomaino.

Anita worked as a medical secretary for Physicians for Women for many years.

She was a longtime parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Church in New Fairfield. In her younger years she enjoyed being active in the church and was a member of the Ladies Guild.

Anita was a generous and loving woman who was happiest when helping others. She loved to sew and enjoyed mending clothing for herself and her family.

She will be sadly missed by her nephews, Michael Prebenna and his wife, Sandy, with whom she made her home, David Prebenna and his companion Rose DeMarco of Brookfield; her two great nephews, Brian Morrarty and his wife, Erin, and Stephen Morrarty and his wife, Erin.

In addition to her husband, Francis, she was predeceased by her first husband, George Dwyer; her sisters, Serafina Cerminara, and Marie Prebenna; and her nephew, Joseph Prebenna.
