Michael Albert Ferrauiolo, 90, of Danbury, beloved husband of the late Josephine (Carlo) Ferrauiolo, died peacefully on Saturday, November 16th at Danbury Hospital. He was born in Danbury, CT, on September 25, 1923, son of the late Michael and Maria (Scalzo) Ferrauiolo.
Michael worked as the head grounds keeper for Ridgewood Country Club for over 40 years. He was an avid golfer and earned the nickname of âFufty Nineâ from his fellow golfers. He was a Veteran of World War II, proudly serving with the United States Navy.
He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church Danbury. He also belonged to the Independent Hose Co. # 4 in Danbury as a volunteer firefighter as well as the Catholic War Veterans, American Legion Post 1002 and the Senior Menâs Golf League.
Michael will be missed by his brother, Frank Ferrauiolo; his sister-in-law, Margaret Ferrauiolo; his nieces and caregivers, Lynn Forese and Robin Shepard; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Anthony Ferrauiolo.
