Irene (Zack) Toussaint, 89, of Danbury, cherished wife of Philip Toussaint, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 25th. She was born in Danbury on October 6, 1923, daughter of the late John and Anna (Sveda) Zack.
Irene worked at Sikorsky Aircraft during World War II, helping to support her family. She later worked for Neumann Engler Hat Shop and Kimberly Clark.
She was a loving homemaker who devoted herself to her husband and her family.
In addition to her beloved husband of 67 years, Philip, she will be sadly missed by her daughter, Nancy DeMunnik and her husband, Gregory of Danbury; her six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Pauline Souza of Az; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Richard Toussaint.
