Rose Marie Catherine Gaudioso Lefebvre was born in Danbury CT. May 24, 1924 to Luigi and Dora Gaudioso of 6 North Street. Mrs. Lefebvre lived her whole life in Danbury attending St. Joseph’s school and later graduating from Danbury High School, Class of ’42. For a time during WWII she worked at a factory making airplane parts for the war effort. She was later employed at The McLoughlin Hat Company as personal secretary to Harry McLoughlin. Rose Marie married Gerard “Jerry” Lefebvre November 9, 1946 in a ceremony in St. Joseph’s Church, Danbury. They lived down the street from one another and had been childhood sweethearts. Together they raised a family of three boys. Mrs. Lefebvre later worked in the Danbury educational system in different capacities for over 25 years, most of that time as secretary at the Danbury High School. She retired 25 years ago. In retirement she spent time traveling with her beloved husband and seeing her family grow. Rose Marie passed away Thursday, April 4TH after a brief illness. She leaves behind three sons, grandchildren and great grand children.
