Sharon Elizabeth Powers passed away peacefully on Feb. 24, 2013 at home in Napa with her family by her side. She was born April 19, 1943 to John Roche and Elizabeth Lesko in Danbury, CT. Sharon lived most of her life in Danbury. She attended Americo Beauty School and worked as a hairdresser for over 20 years. She also enjoyed her retail work at Hallmark. Sharon moved to Napa with her late husband, Peter Powers, in November 1997. She considered Napa Valley her âown slice of paradiseâ. She loved meeting new people, eating sushi and toasting with friends at the many great Napa restaurants. Sharon enjoyed bowling at the Napa Bowl, and was a long time member of the âHappy Campers Leagueâ. Preceeded in death by her first husband, Jerry Terracino of Brookfield, CT and late husband, Peter Powers of Danbury, CT. Sharon is survived by her sons Tommy Terracino, Stephen (Kris) Powers and Peter Powers II, all of Connecticut; daughters Lynn (Joe) Fonseca of Georgia; and Jennifer Terracino and Megan Powers of Connecticut; brother Michael (Mary) Roche of Oshkosh, WI; sisters Carol Fisher of Danbury, Connecticut and Diane (Christine) Roche of Australia; and grandchildren Nicholas, Kathryn, Joshua, Taryn Rose, Allison and Jessica; aunts Marion Eastman, Patricia Linabury, Jean Losee and several cousins. Thank you to the compassionate and caring staff of the Queen of the Valley Medical Center, especially the ICU unit, for the excellent care she received.
