Richard Donald Holick, Jr. age 65, died unexpectedly at his New Milford home on Wednesday, December 9, 2015. He was the son of the late Richard Donald Holick, Sr. and the late Charlotte (Romaine) Holick. Mr. Holick graduated from WestConn with a Masters in English; for many years he taught ESL classes at Naugatuck Valley Community College. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Viet Nam War. He continued his service in Okinawa as a HALO trainer. Most recently, he was employed as a general manager at Mitchell Oil. Mr. Holick was an avid member of the Society for Creative Anachronisms; his name in the Society was âRichard Just Richardâ. He enjoyed fishing and spent most summers on the Candlewood/Squantz Pond causeway with his friends. Most of all he was a loving father, grandfather and brother who will be greatly missed. He is survived by his 4 children: Deanna Holick and her wife, Remi of Wallingford, Richard Donald Holick, III of Danbury, Elizabeth Holick of Terryville, and James Holick and his fiancé Heather Donovan of Bristol; a granddaughter: Justice Vasquez; and his sister Cindy Holick of Danbury; one nephew: Michael Luis and several friends.
