James Reed, 74, of Brookfield, husband of Sandy Reed, died peacefully after a long illness at Danbury Hospital on Wednesday, November 4th. He was born in Danbury on July 24, 1941, son of the late Erwin Reed and Emily Mattei. He was a graduate of Danbury High School. Jimmy was the owner and operator of Jimmieâs Market on Germantown Road in Danbury for many years. He was a talented woodworker, crafting his own furniture for others, or finding pieces he could refinish to look better than when they were new. He loved to cook, and eat chocolate and candy. In addition to his wife of 34 years, Sandy, he will be sadly missed by four children, Michelle (Reed) Binkauskas and her husband, Ron, Terry Ann Kolodjieski and her husband, Edward, Mark Osiecki, and Sharyl Osiecki; his three grandchildren, Danielle and Michael Binkauskas and Sara Osiecki; and his brother, Robert Reed.
