Heidi Johanna Bodner, age 73 of Danbury passed away on October 14th with family by her side. She was the loving wife of William F. Bodner. Heidi was born November 30, 1941 in Frankfurt, Germany, the daughter of Robert and Irmgard (Emmel) Metzger and granddaughter of Johanna (Mama) Wenzel. At age 9 she moved to the US and was a resident of Danbury since 1965. In addition to her husband Bill of 56 years, Heidi is survived by her children: James Bodner of Brookfield, William N. Bodner of Keller, TX, and Johanna Bodner-Salvino and her husband Don of Wilton. Known as Oma by her eight grandchildren: Stephanie, James, Emily, Riley and Bryce Bodner, Mya, Ava, and Hannah Salvino, and great granddaughter Fayth Bodner.
