Frank P. Acquanita, age 71 of Danbury died on Wednesday at his residence. He was the husband of Camille âCandyâ (Pignoni) Acquanita. Frank was born September 13, 1943 in New York, NY the son of the late Francesco and Catherine (DelSignore) Acquanita. He had received his BBA in Accounting from Iona College, and earned his MBA from Pace University. Following his employment with several major corporations, Frank completed a 30 year managerial career with IBM. He lectured part time at several higher education institutions, including Western Connecticut State University. In his retirement, he engaged in private investment management and a consulting partnership. A resident of Danbury since 1974, Frank assisted in the establishment of DAYO, serving as its first football commissioner, and was a founder of its T-Ball program. He was a member of the Danbury Rotary Club, serving as its President, and Chair of the Trust. In addition, he was a member of the Sons of Italy Amerigo Vespucci Lodge, and Saint Peter Church, Danbury. Frank enjoyed playing golf, home improvements, traveling to California and Pennsylvania, and attending his grandchildrenâs athletic events. In addition to his wife of 50 years, Frank is survived by his sons: Frank M. Acquanita and his wife Janice of Brookfield, Michael R. Acquanita and his wife Mary of Laguna Niguel, CA, and Christopher S. Acquanita of Rocky Hill, CT; one brother: Robert Acquanita of Wappingers Falls, NY, one sister: Roseanne Caserio of Maine, seven grandchildren: Frank, Joey, Nicholas, Mia, Ashton, Avery, and Luke Acquanita, and several nieces and nephews.
