Vincent Joseph Kroha, 87, of Danbury, devoted husband of the late Catherine (Howley) Kroha , died at Danbury Hospital on Saturday, September 13th. He was born in Danbury on February 8, 1927, son of the late Francis and Anna (Seaman) Kroha. He was a graduate of St. Joseph School, and Danbury High School. A Veteran of World War II, Vincent proudly served with the United States Army. He enjoyed hunting, and was an avid fisherman, including saltwater at his second home in Rhode Island and ice fishing on Candlewood Lake. He was active with the Danbury Fish & Game Club, and took part in fishing tournaments. He also enjoyed membership in the Catholic War Veterans, square dancing with the Rockin Roosters in Newtown and “Thursday Night Poker,” and visiting the casinos. Vincent was a vegetable gardener, known for his tomatoes. He will be missed by many along his “delivery route,” where he shared his tomatoes with his friends, family and those special to him Left to mourn his loss are his daughters, Karen Dascano (Frank), Kim Webb (Gary) and Kathleen Kroha, all of Danbury; his six grandchildren, Vincent Dascano (Denise), Carrie Ann Tarantino (John), Catherine Bey-Wagner (Adam), Gary Webb, Jr., Jeremy Totten and Carla Mae Totten; and his eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Billy and Donald Kroha and his wife, Mary; his sisters, Helen Palmer, and Marie Plecity and her husband John; his sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Edith; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, David, John and Thelma.
