Life-long Danbury resident Lester F. Miller, 79, died peacefully June 4, 2014. Lester was born August 16, 1934. He was predeceaced by his parents, Lester F. miller Sr, Katherine (Hansson) Miller and five siblings, Beatrice Miller, William Miller, Barbara Cher, Donald Miller and Karen Moreno. Lester graduated from graduated from Danbury High in 1953. He went on to Hartford Technical College and earned degrees in both electrical and mechanical engineering. He married A. Elizabeth âLizâ Macauley in 1957 in Danbury. In retirement Lester enjoyed watching his beloved Red Sox, spending time with his children and grandchildren, as well as working on Lee Farm in Danbury. Lester was a respected member of the Masons for over 50 years, and a devout member of the United Methodist Church congregation, where he served as lay leader in the 1970s. He is survived by his wife Liz; brother Richard; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jerry Rutledge; son Lester Miller III; son and daughter-in-law Brian and Bridgette Miller; grandchildren Jessica, Justin and Jonathan Rutledge, and Sarah and Rachel Miller.
