Assunta Fragomeli, 77, of Danbury, died on March 23, 2014 in her home. She was the wife of Cosimo Fragomeli. Assunta was born on Feb. 1, 1937 in Caulonia, Italy. She was the daughter of the late Ilario and Annunziata (Sorrento) Fragomeli. Assunta was a seamstress at many area bridal stores. She loved flower gardening and was especially proud of her tulips and daffodils. Assunta was known for her amazing cooking of Italian dishes, using fresh vegetables from her garden. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was very proud and close to her grandson. She will be sadly missed by her husband Cosimo; her son Benny Fragomeli and his wife Kimberly; daughter Linda Fragomeli; grandson Domenic “Mimo” Fontana; three brothers Lorenzo and his wife Giovanna, Ottavio and his wife Cristina, Martino and his wife Nicolina; three sisters Natalina Rullo, Maria Demasi, and Rosa Chiera; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her two sons Domenico and Eugenio.
