Michael R. Olin Sr. 41, husband, dad, son, grandson and grandpa passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Thursday, February 27, 2014 in Bedford NY. He was born in Danbury, Connecticut on January 22, 1973 to Robert and Sally Olin. He graduated from The Alternative Center for Education (ACE) in Danbury, CT. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Tina; daughter Ingrid; granddaughter Olivia Melendez who was the light of his life; son Michael Jr.; parents Robert and Sally Olin of Bedford, NY; grandmother Nancy Olin and uncle Phillip of Bradenton, Florida; and uncle Bill Bailey and his wife Susan of Fareham, U.K. Michael worked most of his life doing all phases of construction and concrete work which he took a lot of pride in. Later on he went to school to obtain his CDL license. For many years worked for Nejame & Sons in Danbury CT driving flat-bed trailers loaded with equipment, and hauling pool water for endless hours with George and Greg who became great friends to him. He had a great love for all animals. No matter where he went they followed him. His beloved dog Rusty passed away last May over which he was most heartbroken. Michael also enjoyed helping his father-in-law with his car repairs and helping him with various projects on his house. They were good friends. He loved going to see dirt track racing in Middletown, NY. almost every summer with his wife and kids and last summer he took his granddaughter Olivia there for the first time! His godson Matthew went with him a few times. And mostly with his best friend Charlie who also was a great help to him with his own projects and vice versa. He loved to take his family out to the movies and dinner and take his wife to their favorite place, Outback Steakhouse. And in the early years of their marriage they loved going to Teddy`s Nightclub where they first met and fell in love. He had a great sense of humor and thoroughly enjoyed entertaining his wife Tina`s five younger sisters with his stories and jokes. He will be missed terribly by his family and friends.
