Emma Jean Scilingo – December 18, 1926 – January 17, 2014

Emma Jean Scilingo (nee: Brannon), 87, died at Danbury Hospital on January 17, 2014. She was a long-time resident of Harrison, NY and is survived by two daughters, Janis Harrison of Hopewell Junction, NY and Diane Calamar of Danbury, CT. She is also survived by her brother, William Brannon of Leesburg, Florida, a granddaughter, Brannon (Harrison) Conza of Hopewell Junction, NY, three great grandsons, Riley, Elliot and Liam and several nieces and nephews. She was the beloved wife of the late Orlando (Bob) Scilingo and was also predeceased by her sister Juanita (Brannon) Lake of Winchester, VA.

Emma Jean enjoyed cooking and especially baking. She also enjoyed her home and the Town of Harrison where she lived. She was active for many years with The Harrison Players and the Rye Town Community Theater, working both behind the scenes and also performing on stage. An avid golf enthusiast, she thoroughly enjoyed watching golf tournaments, especially those that included her favorite player, Tiger Woods.

Emma Jean retired at age 71 from a job she loved, as a Licensed Insurance Broker, specializing in sales support and also serving as the Office Manager at Robert Bogan & Associates agency in Larchmont, NY.
