Shirley May Holick, of Danbury, beloved wife of the late George Holick, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Harborside Glen Hill, on Monday, November 25th. She was born in Danbury on August 8, 1938, daughter of the late Jesse and Ruth (Conlin) Dunlap.
Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who devoted herself to her family. She enjoyed vacationing with family and loved her cats.
A lifelong member of St. Paulâs Lutheran Church, Shirley was active in the Sokol Lodge #30.
She will be sadly missed by her three sons, Mark G. Holick and his wife, Allison of Danbury, Kevin J. Holick and his wife, Jackie of New Fairfield, Steven G. Holick and his wife, Kathy of Sandy Hook; and her daughter, Christine R. Taylor of Danbury. She is also survived by her sixteen cherished grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; as well as her sister-in-law, Joan Burlinson of Bridgewater; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Jesse Dunlap.
