Alice Mary (Fesh) Serniak, 92, of Southbury, beloved wife of the late Peter Serniak, died peacefully at River Glen in Southbury on Tuesday, September 3rd. She was born in Danbury on July 30, 1921, daughter of the late Stephen and Justine (Rotko)Fesh. She was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 1940. She was a past parishioner of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church.
Mrs. Serniak was a loving homemaker who devoted herself to her family. In her younger years she worked for the Connecticut Department of Labor, and later, during the war in Washington for the Social Security Administration.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Peter Serniak and his wife, Judith of Middlebury; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her first husband, Nicholas Hugo who was killed in action serving with the United States Navy during WW II. She is also predeceased by her siblings, Helen McNamara, Eva Kubisek, William, Stephen and Joseph Fesh; and Julia Waska.
